The Missouri Traveler – Great color feel good movie. A teenage orphan arrives in a small town in the 1950s where a crusty small-town newspaper editor decides to take the boy in and give him a chance at a regular life. However, a wealthy neighbourhood farmer also takes an interest but treats the boy cruelly despite hidden feelings of affection and concern. The boy proves his worth by training racehorses for the annual horse race.

Disorder In The Court – Very funny and short (16 mins) black and white movie from the 1930s. The Three Stooges are witnesses at a trial in which a dancer at a nightclub where they work as musicians is accused of murder. The stooges are able to disrupt the court and come to the rescue when they discover the identity of the real murderer.

New TV Channel Content

We have just added 2 lovely new content items for you to enjoy on the TV Channel.

The first is appropriate for this time of year and is an old but gold cartoon called “Christmas comes but once a year”.

A group of lonely orphans are given broken toys for Christmas which is seen by Professor Grampy. The kindly inventor comes up with a plan to replace the toys with better ones, making Christmas for the orphans memorable.

New Movie Added

Just to let you know we have just added a brand new movie to the TV Channel.  It is an old black and white feature called Topper Returns that is an entertaining  mixture of comedy and murder-mystery.  Perfect for a rainy winter evening.

Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

Often served in banquets or take out Chinese delivery, Chinese fried rice has its share of followers world-wide. If you’re one of the people who drives for an hour just to take home some of this popular rice dish, you’ll surely love this recipe.

What You’ll Need:

2 cups cooked chilled rice (leftover steamed rice which has been sitting in your refrigerator for about 12-24 hours)
½ cup frozen green peas
½ cup diced carrots
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 piece Chinese sausage sliced thinly, about 1/3 to ½ cup
½ teaspoon of rock salt
1/3 cup green sliced green onion, cut into half inch pieces
1 egg
1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)

Let’s Make Some Chinese Fried Rice!

1. Make sure you got everything nice and ready.
2. Heat up the oil in a wok or pan over medium-high heat.

3. Scramble the egg and set aside.

4. Using the oil remaining in the pan, sauté the carrots, white parts of the green onion and sliced Chinese sausage for about a minute.

5. Dump in the rice and peas. Mix everything together and keep tossing for about 2 to 3 minutes until everything is heated through. Season with salt and/or soy sauce.

6. Remove from heat and add the egg and remaining green onion.

7. Serve in bowls with some dumplings or eat on its own.

This recipe makes two servings and can be easily doubled to feed more people.

Just to let you know we have been busy adding content to the channel over the past week or so. Amongst other thngs we have some new weight loss mindset ideas, a great feel good movie from the 1940s and some interesting ideas on using natural products in your everyday life.
